Shopware 6: Trusted Shops Reviews - Marketing Factory Digital GmbH

Due to the huge number of online stores, it is important for customers to be able to quickly recognize that the seller in question is a trustworthy company. The offer of buyer protection and the presentation of official seals of approval, such as that of Trusted Shops, are essential and well-known quality criteria that signal trustworthiness to customers. In addition, positive customer reviews can encourage purchases: a product with 4.5 out of 5 stars in 2,000 official reviews usually has a more positive effect on a user than a product without a review.

Since the official Trusted Shops extension for Shopware 6 can only output the reviews from Shopware, but not the ratings from Trusted Shops, we developed a suitable extension.

Many online store operators trust in the service of Trusted Shops and want to rely on the advantages of product reviews also under Shopware 6. For this reason, we have developed our own Shopware 6 extension, which displays the reviews from Trusted Shops in a performant way.

Trusted Shops provides an official API that allows us to retrieve product reviews from the reviews interface, save them and display them in all designated places in the store template. The review content is cached and can therefore be displayed in the frontend without limiting the performance.

Caching of the ratings in a cache to increase performance.
Optimal matching of time-to-live (TTL) values of login tokens and cache for permanent output of product ratings.
