Relaunch of the Corporate Website and National Websites: A multilingual corporate group with a distinctive corporate design
A new concept relating to target groups, structures, content and screen design (UX) is to be developed for the HA Group's websites. The concept will be developed jointly between HA, the corporate design agency stay golden, the graphic designer Alexander Sakhel (brand plant) and the Marketing Factory.
The existing screen design will be modernised and converted to a responsive web design. The overall impression of the website should continue to exude professionalism, reliability, objectivity and innovation, in the style of the current corporate design. Existing high-value assets, such as the KeyVisuals, are to be used in the new design.

Realisation of the new communication concept using prototypes and a living style guide
Düsseldorf-based strategic corporate design and brand agency stay golden provided the communication concept and layouts. Marketing Factory worked closely with them to develop the initial HTML prototypes for the content modules from the modular designs. The content modules were quickly further developed in a living style guide section of the newly live TYPO3 9 web server. The flexible and high-performance Bootstap Package proved ideal for the new interactive content, as it already included many of the client's desired features, such as parallax scrolling.
The "global" challenges for the newly launched TYPO3 server
All instances were to be hosted on a server and to generate as many synergies as possible during set-up and installation. At the same time, custom adjustments to the layout and structure needed to be feasible for the individual websites (multi-tree concept).
- Coordinating local content management offices worldwide was a challenge.
- A content pool was made available to the local content management teams to simplify the process of copying complex content.
- Myriad different languages and writing systems were required.
- Some of the national websites also offer a second language translation (in the single tree).
- The local content management teams received a backend in their national language (e.g. Chinese, Korean, or Turkish) to work with.
Project requirements
Shared website package with national overlays
TYPO3 version 9, current at the start of the project, provides a plethora of improvements for the simple set-up and maintenance of a globally-orientated corporate website – especially the new Siteconfigs, Redirects and Route Enhancer modules.
The website package for the corporate site also serves as a template for the basic layout. If certain features need to be added or removed from subsidiaries' websites, they can simply be overwritten in TypoScript and TSConfig overlays for another instance.
It was a challenge to construct the content pool as a language-neutral template to eliminate problems when transferring it to national servers with another primary language.
Challenging server configuration
A multitude of old and new domain names and aliases for national agencies and subsidiaries made server configuration a complex task. It was also crucial to ensure that all address versions always have valid SSL encryption. This was achieved through the automated set-up and management of LetsEncrypt certificates.
